Devi Sri Prasad continues to enjoy a massive fan base for his energetic music, iconic songs, and powerful background scores. Telugu audiences still rank him above many of his contemporaries, but recently, the industry seems to be keeping him at arm’s length.
The situation reportedly began after a major controversy during the promotions of Pushpa 2. DSP expressed visible frustration and disappointment at public events, which caught everyone’s attention. Director Sukumar eventually roped in Sam C S for the film’s music, and the rest of the story is well known to fans.
Since then, DSP’s absence from several major Telugu projects has raised eyebrows. Big-budget films like Trivikram’s upcoming project with Venkatesh also have not featured his name in the credits, sparking speculation about a silent industry rift.
Although he recently worked on Junior and Kuberaa, and has Ustad Bhagat Singh coming up, DSP’s name is missing from star-driven projects. This has led fans to wonder whether a few top directors or actors are intentionally keeping him away.
Fans continue to hope that is not the case. DSP remains one of the most talented composers in Indian cinema, known for his unique energy and versatility. Many believe his next phase in the industry will mark an even stronger comeback.
