Mythri Movie Makers struck a gold with their latest outing Dude starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead with Mamitha Baiju essaying the female lead. The debut directorial venture of Keerthiswaran continues its dream run, by raking big numbers on its second day.
The film has emerged as the biggest Indian release among all Diwali festival offerings. Dude recorded a notable 231.24K tickets sold on BookMyShow. In North America, it has reached an important landmark, grossing over $500K, and is now eyeing the coveted $1 million mark. The movie has collected 45 Crore Gross Worldwide in two days.
The film’s success is driven by Pradeep Ranganathan’s growing streak of hits, the strong backing of Pan-India production house Mythri Movie Makers, the presence of Mamitha Baiju, who rose to fame with Premalu, and, most importantly, the positive word of mouth following its release.
With Sunday and the Diwali holiday on Monday, Dude shows no signs of slowing down and is expected to post strong numbers over the next two days.
