Star directors Sukumar and Puri Jagannadh had a candid interaction as a part of Liger’s promotional campaign. An interesting point came to the discussion here and here’s a scoop on the same.
“It’s not just about the complexity or the nature of the script that we pick, but the way we present it. It’s hard to narrate the story in the simplest way possible but that’s the real deal. If you can present your story in a simple manner, you have a recipe for success,” Puri says to Sukumar.
Sukumar quickly adds that “It is indeed true. I got to learn it with 1 Nenokkadine. I had a vision in mind and presented it in my way. But later, I learned that it is about keeping things simple. I changed my method of operation after 1.”
Fans are now pointing out that Sukumar learned a new facet after experimenting and failing big time with Mahesh Babu’s 1.
“You(Sukumar) experimented with Mahesh and it backfired. You then simplified to an extent with Nannaku Prematho and it was decent success. But you fully incorporated your new methodology with Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam and kept things really simple, which worked wonders. You experimented with Mahesh and used the new formula fully for Ram Charan and scored a blockbuster. Hope you come back and deliver us due success as well,” a Mahesh Babu fan funnily commented, quoting the interview.
