The most prominent titles that were scheduled for release this February are already out in theatres and they are Thandel, Laila and Chhaava(Hindi).
Coming to the box office side of things, it needs to be said that Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel has turned out to be a hit. The makers communicated that the film has collected Rs 100 crore gross till now (as per the producers). It is likely to close out its box office run by the end of this week.

Then we have Vishwak Sen, who arrived at theatres with Laila. This film had shady content right from the word go but there was hope on whether it would somehow cater to the masses.
However, this film was outrightly rejected by all sections of the audience and it turned out to be a complete washout in terms of box office returns. On top of that, it led to intense pressure on Vishwak to stop doing films like these.

Then we have Hindi film Chhaava which has Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The film is turning out to be a significant blockbuster in the Hindi belt and more so in the Maharashtra region.
In Hyderabad, the booking Trends have been relatively decent, it could be argued. Though it might not have any significant contribution from the South Indian states, this film is expected to set the Maharashtra and certain parts of North Indian box office on absolute fire.

In the end, we have one blockbuster in the form of Chhaava, 1 hit in the form of Thandel, and 1 was Gould in the form of Laila this February. This has been a rather mixed bag at the box office.
