Unlike his big brother Naga Chaitanya, Akhil is making the right debut with a big director. Not only that, it is being made at a very high budget. All this is now reflected in the business of the debut film of Akhil. He is joining the big league of pre release business with just his debut movie. It goes without saying that it is a family record for the Akkineni’s.
The first film of Akhil has been snapped up for apparently 4.5 Cr in Uttar Andhra area. This is way way higher than biggest Akkineni grosser in this territory and just a tad lower than the business of upcoming Superstar movie about to release. With this deal it is now almost confirmed that Akkineni Akhil will be competing with the biggest stars of Telugu cinema right from his debut.
It is a different matter of course to step back and analyze if the newcomer can take up such herculean task at box office with his first film. But if Akhil is able to achieve a recovery with this feat, one can for sure say that a new generation ‘real’ top star from Akkineni family has arrived after Akkineni Nagarjuna. The trade will be keeping a very close eye on this new star for sure and so will be the audience of Telugu movies all over. Right at this point this is seen as first sign of Superstardom from Akkineni family after almost a decade and half.
