Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena was registered by Telangana Election Commission the other day and that brought the party in to news after a long time. Speculations are on if Pawan Kalyan will be contesting the upcoming GHMC elections. Pawan Kalyan campaigned for TDP-BJP combine in the last elections but occasionally voiced against TDP government from then.

However he did not have much issues with BJP even though the central government did not fulfill any promise to the state. Everyone has been eager to see if Janasena contests alone or will continue alliance with TDP and BJP. Janasena did not start the party building till now. There is no single membership drive or any organizational setup.
If contested alone, the party may make a mark on settlers in GHMC area but it may be enough only to divide the opposition vote and benefit the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti in the tough elections. Pawan Kalyan can not avoid the election as such decision will only dilute his political future. However contesting in alliance may curb the chances of Janasena growing independently before the next elections.
