A young actress accused him of betraying her trust. She said he promised her film roles and marriage. She claimed he forced himself on her at his Ghaziabad office and at his farmhouse in Amroha. She also alleged that he made her drink alcohol against her will.
The actress had tried to complain back in 2020, but the case did not move forward. After an order from the High Court, police registered the case. Soon after, Uttar Kumar was arrested at his farmhouse.
Police said he later reported health issues and was taken to a hospital. The investigation is still ongoing.
