The burning issue in the film industry at present is the casting couch issue. It’s like a hornet’s nest and beating around the bush will not help, anyway. Jogini Shyamala didn’t beat around the bush when she was asked her opinion on the casting couch issue.

Shyamala opined that it’s up to the individual to decide whether to accept the insane suggestive behaviour of an individual or not. If a female makes it clear that she is a no-nonsense girl, only those who are comfortable will come to her with offers. Basically, a girl must learn to say, ‘No’, instead of complaining after accepting to compromise and coming out only when after a few compromising situations.
Jogini Shyamala gave the example of director Indraganti Mohana Krisha who is a thorough gentleman and treats an artist with utmost respect. While she was working with him, he used to say sorry even if she accidentally touched him when she turned around after a shot.
