Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited comeback film after his successful political stint, is set to hit U.S. theaters with premieres on June 11—exactly 14 days from now.

While the advance bookings have already opened, the initial momentum is noticeably missing.

So far, the film has collected under $100K in presales, which is significantly underwhelming for a star of Pawan Kalyan’s stature.

Although the film began production quite some time ago, its period backdrop offers something fresh from the routine commercial films but the lack of initial rush to book tickets for U.S. premiers from Mega fans rather surprising.

In fact, the historical setting aligns well with current audience preferences, which makes the lukewarm response all the more puzzling.

The promotional campaign has been steady, with songs and posters being released regularly.

The next major push is the theatrical trailer—arguably the most crucial element at this point.

It needs to strike big and energize the fanbase, pushing them toward mass bookings. In today’s North American market, premiere numbers have become a major indicator of star power.

For context, even Game Changer with Ram Charan, started dead slow but managed to cross $1.3 million from just its premieres and opening day combined—still considered the lowest for a star hero in recent times.

In contrast, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 pulled in $4.4 million, and NTR’s Devara followed with $3.7 million (premiere+day 1 gross).

All eyes are now on how the momentum picks up for Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Will Mega fans and neutral audiences rally behind the Power Star to deliver a record-setting premiere once the trailer is out? Especially since his last theatrical release was back in 2023 (BRO), the stakes are high for the producer A. M. Rathnam.
