Recently, we have seen a hot backless photo of Niharika Konidela on the cover page of a magazine. But, back in the 1990s, it was almost unthinkable for a star -daughter from a reputed cinema family to even romance a hero fully clothed in traditional style.
Superstar Mahesh Babu’s sister, Manjula was one among them who was denied the choice to become an actor, a heroine in Telugu movies. Die-hard fans of Superstar Krishna made it impossible for her to romance a hero as they didn’t want the daughter of their matinee star romancing other heroes.
Speaking about this chaos Manjula said she went deep down into depression and became mentally unstable. Rigorous meditation and prayer helped her to come out of the chaos and understand that it happened for her good as she wouldn’t have been a fit in the commercial space of the industry.
Though this seems to be changing in the film industry with star kids like Niharika Konidela paving their way, there is still this enigma about the stature of girls in the glamour industry. However, things are changing for good. But, let’s understand that change will be gradual and takes its own time.
