A recent incident in PVR Superplex Mall of India in Noida shared by X user Simply Hardikk highlights the issue of poor venue management and technical maintenance.
During the screening of the movie How To Train Your Dragon IMAX 3D, in PVR Superplex Mall of India, the user noticed the screen went blurry all of a sudden.
When the user reported the issue, the management cleaned the projector lens and said the blurriness was due to fog on the lens because of the air conditioning vent.
While the staff’s response was prompt, the issue reappeared soon after which shows lack of problem solving and deeper oversight in facility management.
This is not just about a blurry screen; it’s about the negligence towards environmental control and technical upkeep in public spaces.
Projectors are sensitive equipment and their placement with respect to AC vents should be taken care of during room design.
Allowing cold air to blow directly on the projector can cause condensation and the exact same problem.
The issue reappeared which means the management either lacks the technical expertise to fix the root cause or is not willing to invest in a proper solution like redirecting the vent or installing protective covers.
For customers repeated disruptions erode the quality of experience and trust in the venue’s professionalism.
Temporary fixes may give temporary relief but don’t fix the problem.
Ultimately this incident is a reminder that attention to detail and proactive maintenance is key to delivering a consistent high quality experience especially in places where technology is the hero.
