Usually, native South Indian actresses arent big on glamorous roles and more so, after they get married. But occasionally there are cases where even homely heroines do such roles. Here is one such case involving native Telugu heroine Anandi who is a big name in Tamil cinema these days.
Anandi, being a traditional lady, said she first rejected the script of her upcoming film, Mangai due to the fact that it had many bold scenes and dialogues and she wasn’t ready to do something like this after marriage.
“But my husband encouraged me to do this film. He asked me to do bold scenes fearlessly if that is what the character wants. Then I picked up the film and acted in those bold scenes with ease” Anandi said.
Anandi is from Warangal Telangana, and she moved to Chennai after a below-par stint in Telugu. She earned a good name in Tamil cinema by doing good films and later married a co-director named Socrates in 2021. She played a bold role in Sridevi Soda Center as well. Now the homely-looking beauty has done the same for her upcoming film, Mangai as well.
