Since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, there has been planned propaganda against Bollywood. The hashtag #BoycottBollywood keeps trending now and then on social media whenever there is a trailer or a movie released.
The latest victim is Brahmastra. The response to the trailer has been extremely mixed. While some Ranbir and Alia fans have loved the concept, there are other critics who have slammed the trailer, saying the film has tacky VFX. As long as the criticism is for the film, it is ok, but when the trolling comes from a section of bots who are pulling down the film for absurd reasons, then it becomes shady.
There’s a section of netizens on social media who are asking to Boycott Brahmastra because it is hurting Hindu sentiments. In one of the scenes shown in the trailer, Ranbir Kapoor is seen with his footwear inside a temple. And he also blows a kiss towards the Ddiety in the temple.
Bollywood fans have come in defense of the film, saying that the scene shown is a public procession and not a temple, so there’s no question of leaving their footwear outside. They are saying that the film wants to project Hindu gods and their powerful Astras in a grand way, and the public should wait till the film releases and not give a call to boycott even before seeing anything.
Whatever the reason might be, the trailer of Brahmastra has created an impact with over 40 Million views in a single day. SS Rajamouli participating in the promotional activities also gives a positive vibe to the film. So, many in the trade circles are saying that if the story turns out to be engaging, then Bollywood might have a big winner after a long time.
