Ram Charan had been very unconventional with his choice of directors, and this was already established in the case of out of fame Shankar, followed by Buchi Babu. Neither Game Changer nor Peddi worked for Ram Charan and movies, the negative repercussions are still being felt.
The discussion has opened up about Peddi again, and this time it is a national television with the female lead in the film, Janhvi Kapoor speaking out.
When she was asked to comment on certain objectionable and problematic shots featuring her skin show in the film, Janhvi said she was not fully aware of what was happening back then and should have ideally stopped the process.
It is evident that Janhvi regrets every bit of doing those scenes, considering the extremely exploiting visuals of her that were conceived by the director. She gave the strong implication in this national program that her presentation was outright wrong.
This set of visuals shot by Buchi Babu was lambasted during the time of the release and it got deserted out by Janhvi Kapoor too on national television. The worst part here is that Charan will have to face the brunt of this attack as well.
When an actress is speaking so openly about her presentation in a mainstream film featuring a superstar Charan, it does not paint a good image for anyone involved. This is all going to pile up into negative territory for Charan at the national level.
For someone who is so humble and hard-working as Charan, this kind of bad press on his film on national television isn’t a deserved thing either. The shallow work of the director is coming to haunt Charan and that is precisely why he must be extremely cautious about his choices in the future.
