Irumudi Climax Is Leaving Everyone In Tears, Says Ravi Teja

Ravi Teja and Shiva Nirvana celebrate Irumudi in Chennai

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Irumudi received overwhelming response, and the box office collections are excellent. Along with Telugu, the movie was also released in Tamil. The team celebrated an event in Chennai.

For director Shiva Nirvana, bringing Irumudi to Tamil Nadu is more than just a dubbed release. It represents the fulfilment of a long-standing dream shaped by his admiration for Tamil cinema and its filmmakers. “I felt this story works well in Tamil, because of the earthy characters, rooted storytelling, the simplicity in the conflicts, very organic locales, with great music.”

Shiva described Irumudi as a difficult but distinctive combination of three genres. “Irumudi is set in an interesting, surprising and shocking premise. This has three genres- devotion, emotion and crime. The blending will surprise you for sure.”

He highlighted a trend that particularly touched him: “Fathers are watching it, and then returning to the theatres with their daughters, wives, and children.”

Shiva also highlighted the film’s social relevance, particularly its message surrounding children and daughters. “This film carries an important social message regarding girl empowerment and the upbringing of children, particularly daughters.”

Interestingly, Ravi Teja said his first experience of the film came without its musical layer. “First, I saw this film without sound and music in the editing room. I can share my feeling because I experienced it without music, but I haven’t watched it with music yet.”

He said he planned to watch the theatrical version alongside Shiva Nirvana. “Me and Shiva are going to the theatre tomorrow or the day after. I’m very, very happy and overwhelmed that this film is doing so well there.”

The emotional impact of the climax portion, according to Ravi Teja, has been universal. “Everybody, even men, are crying. Really, that’s the reason the movie is winning hearts. It’s so heart-touching.”

Ravi Teja concluded with a direct appeal to audiences: “It’s a super blockbuster, a heart-winning blockbuster. I wish everybody goes to the theatres and watches the film. I’m very sure you will love it- you will take this film home with you.”
