Junior NTR is blessed with one of the most loyal fan basis for any Telugu actor or even Indian actor for that matter. This was clearly evident in the case of his previous film Devara.
Devara was not a brilliant film by any stretch of imagination but the kind of landing that the film on social media was beyond ordinary. This is primarily due to the collective efforts of the NTR fan groups.
It was always expected that Devara would be receiving a lot of backlash from anti groups right from the day of the release, and this was precisely the case as well.
However, the point of difference here was that NTR’s fans came together in big volume to counter the negative narrative that was built against the film.
Right from propagating, BookMyShow and United States Premier sales, to hitting back at the troll worthy scenes in the film, NTR’s fans were collectively superior to the rest.
While other hero fan groups targeted this film on multiple aspects by demoting the looks of NTR and hitting at the production values, Tarak’s fans stood firm and they pushed the collective narrative that the film is good and needs to be watched.
There was no cracks in the cement as every single major account associated with NTR fandom unanimously fought for the film and projected it as if it was a must watch. This meant that the film could generate substantial interest from the audience regardless of the hate.
None of the other fan groups, including Mega, Mahesh, or other groups could come close to the same. To a large degree, Allu Arjun’s fan group came close with Pushpa 2, but it was NTR’s fans who stood firmer. It was to the degree that NTR himself appreciated the efforts of his social media supporting group for their work.
