It’s Not a Staged Controversy for Publicity

Director Nandi NarasimhaIt’s surprising to see that we are going to watch a youth-targeted movie ‘Degree College’ from the director who gave us ‘1940 Lo Oka Gramam’ that won a National Award and ‘Kamalatho Naa Prayanam’ that won him AP State Nandi Award. Jeevitha Rajasekhar who was guest at the movie’s event expressed the same disgust over ‘Degree College’ as she was surprised to see that the trailer was infested with lovemaking and lip-lock scenes. Was it a staged controversy to bring her to the trailer launch event knowing that she would speak something controversial?

Nowadays, a few films seem to be running only because they became controversial. The director denied that they didn’t invite Jeevitha for a staged controversy for publicity or else because she is a member of Censor Board of Film Certification.

It’s just that one of the partners in the production knows her and hence, they have got to invite her as they needed a guest but not for controversy.

He chuckles saying that it would have been nice if the movies the director made with good intention were also talked about like this. But, unintentionally, his commercial movie has become controversial and has got the people talking. Ironic!
