The shooting of Rajinikanth’s most anticipated sequel Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is nearing its final stages and the makers of the film have recently announced that it will be released on October 15th by releasing a special glimpse video.
Since the announcement, this film has generated huge expectations among audiences, as the original Jailer was a massive success and became an industry hit at the time of its theatrical release.
Especially since the cameo appearances of Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar were major reasons for the success of Jailer, Kollywood audiences are eagerly awaiting to know who the top actors from other industries will appear in a cameo role in Jailer 2.
Initially, strong speculations suggested that the makers of Jailer 2 were aiming to cast Shah Rukh Khan for a cameo appearance in the film. However, due to his own commitments, Shah Rukh Khan opted out of the project. Consequently, the makers of Jailer 2 have onboarded Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan as a replacement for Shah Rukh Khan.
Although there have been no official updates regarding this, Hrithik Roshan recently met Rajinikanth at his house and the pictures taken during their meeting are now going viral on social media. Following these viral pictures, many people on social media are suggesting that it is now almost confirmed that Hrithik Roshan is making a cameo appearance in Jailer 2, which is why the actor met Rajinikanth.
Meanwhile, some people are commenting that Nelson Dilipkumar should properly utilise Hrithik Roshan and give him a solid role in the film, suggesting that it could help the film achieve huge numbers in the Hindi belts.
At the same time, they point to Aamir Khan’s cameo appearance in Coolie, which ended up as a huge troll fest among audiences, claiming that Lokesh Kanagaraj wasted that opportunity by delivering a poor role for Aamir Khan and that Nelson Dilipkumar should at least properly utilize Hrithik Roshan.
Ultimately, with massive expectations surrounding Jailer 2, it remains to be seen whether Hrithik Roshan’s cameo appearance will create a solid impact and if Jailer 2 will become a huge success in the Hindi belts as well upon its release.
