The second single Raasa Gummadi from Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju was launched in Anantapur. Director Merlapaka Gandhi said the film is a heartfelt tribute to the flavour of Anantapur and Rayalaseema. He credited Varun Tej for going the extra mile by learning the Anantapur dialect and choosing to shoot extensively in the district.
Varun Tej echoed the director’s thoughts, saying it felt only right to unveil the song in the very region where the story unfolds. He explained that the makers wanted the people of Anantapur to be the first to celebrate the film’s musical journey.
The actor revealed that he danced for Raasa Gummadi with the inspiration of his Pedda Nanna (Megastar Chiranjeevi), trying to reflect the same trademark enthusiasm. “While performing this song, I kept my Pedda Nanna in mind and tried to bring the same energy and enthusiasm. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting this film and dancing for this number.”
The film’s first single and teaser had already generated tremendous excitement. Now, with the second single, Raasa Gummadi, receiving an instant and overwhelmingly positive response, the buzz surrounding Korean Kanakaraju has soared to an even higher level.
