Acharya is the Biggest Debacle in Koratala Siva‘s career. The movie not only ended as a humiliating disaster but also brought disrepute to Koratala Siva for his involvement in the movie business.
Koratala had to undergo a lot of financial stress as a result. The financial burden of Acharya fell on Koratala while the producer, S Niranjan Reddy was completely out of picture back then.
However, it looks like the movie result did not have any impact on their relationship. Niranjan Reddy who is a Supreme Court Advocate and also the Rajya Sabha MP nominated by YSR Congress represented Koratala Siva in Srimanthudu Copyright Infringement case.
He argued on the behalf of Koratala Siva, Mahesh Babu, and the producers of Srimanthudu. He was able to convince the Apex Court to relief Mahesh Babu and the producers from the case.
But then, the court ruled out that Koratala Siva had to face the criminal proceedings as a eight members committee found out that there is an uncanny resemblance between Srimanthudu story and the writer Sarath Chandra‘s Chacchentha Prema story which got published in Swathi Magazine a few years ago.
It has to be seen if Koratala Siva will continue the legal proceedings or opt for an out-of-the-court settlement.
