L2: Empuraan

Mohanlal’s highly anticipated L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, was finally released in theatres yesterday and has received mixed responses from audiences.

L2: Empuraan was produced by Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, and Sree Gokulam Movies. However, a few weeks before the release, Lyca exited the project with a settlement due to a dispute between Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions.

After the release, many critics and audiences have stated that L2: Empuraan did not meet expectations. Because of this, weekend pre-bookings for the movie have dipped in many places.

Following this, some social media users have been posting funny memes and commenting that Lyca had initially sensed the movie might fail, which is why it exited the project—ultimately escaping another failure.
