Legendary playback singer S. Janaki passed away at the age of 88 while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Mysuru after suffering a heart attack.
S. Janaki was one of India’s most celebrated playback singers, with a career spanning over six decades. She recorded thousands of songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and several other languages, earning admiration for her unmatched versatility and expressive voice.
