Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo after a mindblowing start at the box office, has considerably slowed down. In India, the film’s run is aided by the festive season which is helping it maintain steady collections. In the US, the film has dropped down heavily.
Recently, Rajinikanth’s Jailer also received mixed reviews. But the film held up spectacularly at the box office. Just with average content and a not-so-credible director, Rajinikanth at the age of 72 showed his might at the box office like the true blue superstar he is.
Despite Vijay being one of the most popular stars and relatively younger, having a crazy director like Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is seeing big drops at the box office after the weekend. It just shows Vijay cannot pull the audiences for a long time into the theaters with average content like Rajini can.
It would be no wrong to say that Leo established Rajinikanth’s supremacy once again at the Tamil Box office.
