Whatever may be the final verdict of the audiences for ‘Naannaku Prematho’, one must agree that Sukumar had made an intelligent film with lots of logic and conviction. The actors he chose for the roles are 100% perfect choices. Senior actress Madhubala has got a brief but important role in the movie and it was received well by audiences and applauded by critics.

But initially Madhubala didn’t want to do the film. She was like into the film once and next time saying no to her character. The postponement of the film several times and date adjustments might have caused trouble for her. Finally she did the film and now we know the audiences response for her performance.
Audiences who watched the film felt she could have been given more screen space to elevate Jagapathi Bab’s role in the negative character. She comes during an important twist which is only a minute track in the film. Getting such an seasoned artist on board and using her for a minor role hasn’t given full scope for her acting prowess. Nevertheless, she is superb in her limited role.
