The Congress-led Telangana government has shown that they are ready to help out Tollywood with ticket price hikes and additional shows. The same thing was seen in the case of Prabhas’s Salaar, where the film was permitted ticket price hikes and additional shows.
Now, the Revanth Reddy government has granted a big boon to Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film, Guntur Kaaram.
Guntur Kaaram has been granted additional shows – 1 AM and 4 AM apart from the four customary shows, meaning the film will get 6 shows in total. This could work well during the Sankranthi season for the film to pile up good revenues.
Apart from that, the Telangana government has also permitted ticket hikes of up to Rs 250 in single screens and Rs 400 in multiplexes. This will be in effect for the first week.
With this, it is becoming an established trend that the Revanth Reddy government is indeed lending a helping hand to big films.
Meanwhile, the AP government is yet to approve the ticket hikes and request for additional shows.
