We all know that Masala starring Venkatesh and Ram is a remake of Bollywood hit Bol Bachchan. The original was a comedy directed by Rohit Shetty starring Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan. The trailer of the remake has been released today and a look at it reveals all the makers did was a copy-paste job from the original.
Every single frame has been redone as it is from the original without even a semblance of originality. And this includes even the body language by the lead actors Venkatesh and Ram. While all this wouldn’t matter to a new audience, those who have seen the original might find this completely insipid despite the best efforts from the actors.
In the past director K Vijay Bhaskar had remade Bunty Aur Bubly, another Abhishek Bachchan starrer, into Telugu with little bit of liberty. But the film sank at the box office without any trace. May be that bad experience might have made the director not to tamper with the original. Let us see how it works out this time for the director.
