Mass star Vijay Ilayapathy’s ‘Master‘ was released in several languages including Hindi. While the movie was purely a treat for is die-hard fans, it turned out to be a flop in Hindi territories. The movie isn’t going to come anywhere near the break-even figure.
It’s reported that the movie has collected Rs. 1.60 crores in the first two days, it has to gross at least Rs. 12 cross to break-even in the Hindi territories. Going by the poor figures, it might not be possible for the Hindi territories to reach that figure.
Though ‘Master’ is a flop in Hindi, it’s doing well in the Telugu States with the Telugu dubbing version and it implies that the star has been slowly bettering his position here in Telugu. Though it’s not a blockbuster like ‘Krack’, it’s far better than the other two Sankranthi movies.
With the concept of pan-Indian movies gaining the traction in recent times, like many South stars like Prabhas, Yash, NTR and Ram Charan; Vijay’s fans also want him to go pan-Indian and spread his market into Bollywood. But, ‘Master’ is no way that movie that could make it happen.
