Ustaad Ram Pothineni is coming with mass action entertainer The Warriorr this week. The trade has decent expectations because the buzz has increased after the popularity of its songs.
The makers have decided to go with the maximum allowed prices in Telangana, i.e., Multiplexes: 295 Rupees and Single screens: 175 Rupees. This is one of the few mid-range movies to be released at such high prices.
Such high prices haven’t worked to pull the audiences to theaters unless it is a KGF2 or RRR. The success of films like Major and Vikram shows that good word-of-mouth combined with reasonable ticket rates is the winning formula these days to excite the audience.
Some trade analysts are saying that if the ticket prices of The Warriorr were lower, it would have attracted more footfalls for the film. Now it has to be seen if the buzz will be enough to bring the audience to the theaters at these prices.
In Andhra Pradesh, the rates are relatively lower with single screens at Rs. 147 in single screens and Rs. 177 in Multiplexes.
Tollywood desperately needs a big winner, and all eyes are on The Warriorr to deliver.
