Tollywood is being criticised for not coming forward for the issues that AP has been facing after the separation and the industry folks are only interested in Hyderabad and Telangana, for their properties are in and around. Asked upon the same, Manchu Lakshmi asks why should they mess with their lives.

The actress straight away questioned why should they even do that. Taking the example of Sathyaraj’s issue back then during the release of Baahubali in Karnataka, she quoted that the actors always get bad even if they fight for a right thing and in return, they never got any support from the government when they were in mess with the recent casting couch issues.
“Even if we come out, you won’t support us. Media sucks right now”, said Lakshmi. Depicting that media nowadays is being selfish and portraying anything that they speak of in a spicy way to get those views and clicks. That was a very smart way that she said they don’t give a fish for whatever the new state is going through as they are doing safe and sound here.
