If one has to pick a pointless cameo in a film in recent times, then it has to be Anurag Kashyap in Leo.
Despite not being a trained actor, director Anurag Kashyapa lends his own touch when he is performing as an actor which is quite interesting to watch. But his role in Leo turned out to be a joke.
In recent Bollywood discussions, Kashyap praised the movie and its director, Lokesh Kanagaraj, which led many to believe he had a substantial role in Leo. However, he appears in only one brief scene in the film and is quickly killed off, leaving the audience baffled.
It’s possible that more scenes were shot with Anurag Kashyap, but they didn’t make it to the final cut due to length issues. Particularly in a scene where Vijay discusses a drug-route leakage issue, it’s evident that the Bollywood director’s performance was lost during editing.
Some Loki fans believe that Lokesh just gave a glimpse of Anurag Kashyap’s character in Leo, and his story would be showcased in a detailed manner in some other film from the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
There is a clip on social media going viral where Anurag Kashyap said he wants to do a role in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film where he is killed as he thinks Lokesh gives glorious death scenes to his actors. Anurag’s wish seem to be fulfilled but his death scene in Leo, however, was far from being a glorious one.
