Ranveer Singh and director Prasanth Varma were supposed to collaborate on the Hindi-Telugu bilingual film “Rakshas.” Rumors indicate that Ranveer quit the project due to creative differences, leaving after three days of shooting, allegedly on the advice of someone close to him.
It was Ranveer Singh who pursued director Prasanth Varma for this project which made Prasanth postpone other Telugu projects to accommodate Rakshas.

Ranveer was enthusiastic and shot for three days in Hyderabad, expressing satisfaction with the footage. However, he abruptly exited the project without any explanation, much to the shock of the film’s team.
Ranveer Singh’s recent films like 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Cirkus have been flops. Although Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was a hit, the credit largely went to Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. He is in desperate need of a solid hit to revive his career.

Previous projects like the Aparichitudu remake with Shankar and the Shaktimaan adaptation with Minnal Murali director Basil Joseph have also been shelved. Losing Rakshas means missing another potential comeback opportunity.
Prasanth Varma saw working with Ranveer as a chance to elevate his career to the next level. Having delivered a recent blockbuster, Varma was poised to benefit significantly from a successful collaboration with a big star like Ranveer. The shelving of this project is a huge setback to Prasanth Varma as well.

While both Ranveer Singh and Prasanth Varma face significant setbacks from the shelving of Rakshas, Ranveer appears to be at a greater disadvantage. He has been struggling with flops and has no promising projects lined up, making this loss more critical for his career.
On the other hand, Prasanth Varma, riding on Hanu Man blockbuster, is likely to find many heroes eager to work with him due to his recent success.
Ultimately, it is a significant loss for both, but more so for Ranveer, who is in dire need of a hit to regain his footing in the industry.
