Two new theatrical outings greeted the Telugu audience this weekend and they are Mr Bachchan and Ismart Shankar.
These films took off on a rather dull note at the box office as they reported sub-par scale. But there was hope that the films might hold up over the long weekend and return at least respectful numbers.
However, both the films came crashing down on their second day at the box office.
As per the latest box office figures, both Bachchan and Ismart crashed like a pack of cards in their second day at the ticket counters. The numbers are so poor that any hope of recovery is nearly gone.
The weak word of mouth is playing the killer role here and not even the lucrative long weekend advantage is coming to their rescue.
At this rate, these films might not be posting anymore decent numbers in the weekend which would in turn mean that their box office run is almost done and dusted already.
