It is a pity that none of the Bollywood films have been able to give Mrunal Thakur what her two Telugu releases, Hi Nanna and Sita Ramam have managed–the platform of an actor and the presentation of a star.
In Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna, the camera captures Mrunal in a way that it is impossible to look away. Telugu filmmakers have given her roles that do justice to her talent and beauty.
But Bollywood doesn’t offer her such substantial roles where she can perform to her full potential.
Mrunal is now all set to star alongside Varun Dhawan in a new movie produced by Ramesh Taurani, expected to start filming in May or June. Varun’s father, David Dhawan, will direct the film, marking their fourth collaboration after ‘Main Tera Hero’, ‘Judwaa 2’, and ‘Coolie No. 1’.
This comedy film will feature two female leads alongside Varun, with Mrunal being one of them.
David Dhawan is an outdated director with no creative juices left in him anymore. His last half-decent film was in 2007, Partner starring Govinda and Salman Khan.
David Dhawan is also famous for showcasing his heroines in an insipid and vulgar manner and Mrunal definitely doesn’t deserve such a portrayal.
Let’s hope Mrunal isn’t cast in a flowerpot role in the film, which Bollywood is famous for.
