Very rarely do we come across movies where all the songs are not only good but also become one of the USPs of the narrative.
Vijay Deverakonda’s latest film, Kushi, suffers from pace and writing issues, but Hesham Abdul Wahab’s beautiful music holds the film together covering up issues to an extent.
Hesham Abdul Wahab became the talk of the town ever since the first single, ‘Na Roja Nuvve,’ dropped a few months ago. Kushi is his first film in Telugu, and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that he has delivered big time.
Hesham’s next biggie is Nani’s Hi Nanna, and it is looking like a perfect follow-up to Kushi. Romantic music seems to be his forte, and Hi Nanna is another big chance for him to make a mark with his melodious music.
The Telugu film industry these days is lacking good music directors. Anup Ruben showed immense promise with movies like Ishq and Manam but couldn’t capitalize on it.
Let’s hope Hesham Abdul Wahab doesn’t go Anup Ruben’s way and lives up to the promise he has shown with Kushi.
