At the trailer launch of Thandel in Visakhapatnam, Naga Chaitanya humorously spoke about his connection to the city.
He called his wife Sobhita Dhulipala a “Vizag ammayi” and joked that his household is now “ruled” by Vizag because of their marriage.
He said, “Vizag is so close to my heart that I fell in love with a Vizag girl and married her. Now, even at home, the ruling party is Vizag.” He playfully added that Thandel should be a blockbuster at the Vizag box office to maintain his “honor” at home.
Samantha’s fans were quick to react to Naga Chaitanya’s statement. They expressed disbelief, questioning how he could be so heartless.
