November 1st – The Andhra Pradesh formation day is nearing up but the government has not made up its mind if to celebrate the day as the state that was attained that day in 1956 does not exist now. Some people say that AP should observe October 1 as the formation day as it was on this day that Andhra state was formed after separation from the Madras Presidency in 1953. The state that was formed from Madras Presidency exists today.
And there are some people who argue to take the recent appointed day, June 2nd as the formation day. However few differ with that opinion as the state was still under President’s rule till June 8th. TDP formed the government only on 8th and some say the day on which elected government exists should be considered as the formation day. It is the responsibility of Chandrababu Naidu to take a call on this day. Already the October 1st is passed and the decision now has to be taken before November 1st.
