As the release date is fast approaching, the makers of Nata Simham Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Akhanda 2 have fired up the promotions by unveiling the theatrical trailer at a massive event in Bangalore, graced by Kannada icon Shiva Rajkumar. The new promo sets a fierce tone, promising a high-voltage return to Boyapati Sreenu’s mystical universe.
The trailer opens with a chilling revelation- forces from within and outside the country are plotting to dismantle the spiritual spine of India by attacking Sanatana Haindava Dharma. As fear threatens to eclipse faith, a storm brews, and out of that storm rises Akhanda, a force of raging divinity ready to execute what he calls his own Surgical Strike.
Nandamuri Balakrishna once again steps into two distinct roles, but it is the Akhanda incarnation that roars the loudest. His authoritative posture, blazing eyes, and volcanic dialogue delivery redefine intensity. Aadhi Pinisetty emerges as a sinister antagonist, wielding an aura steeped in dark mysticism. Samyuktha appears prominently as the leading lady, and young Harshali Malhotra’s brief presence hints at an emotional storyline woven into the chaos.
Director Boyapati Sreenu infused the spiritual warfare with nationalistic elements. The trailer also hints at international stakes, suggesting that the conflict stretches far beyond India’s borders. A breathtaking sequence set in the Kumbh Mela is a visual triumph, reflecting Boyapati’s signature blend of mass elevation and devotional grandeur.
Cinematographers C Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detakae craft a towering visual environment, rich in scale and dynamism. Enhancing this, S Thaman unleashes an electrifying score that thunders through the trailer, heightening both devotion and destruction.
Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under 14 Reels Plus, and presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri, the production values look nothing short of spectacular.
The excitement surrounding the movie only augmented with the trailer. The movie is up for release on December 5th.
