Nani is the only Tollywood hero who went for a direct-to-OTT release for two consecutive times i.e with V and the recent family drama Tuck Jagadish.
Incidentally, both the films stood as a dud and the actor also faced an uproar from the exhibitor community for giving the theatrical release a miss. The actor however has taken a conscious decision with his next film, Shyam Singha Roy.

The team is busy with locking digital and satellite rights and then locking theatrical release deals. As per reports OTT giant Netflix bagged the digital rights of SSR, that is the film will get stream on the OTT platform only after the theatrical release. This is the biggest title for Netflix till date in Telugu.
Usually, Netflix streams movies after four weeks run at the ticket window. So a tentative OTT release date can only be out after SSR locks its release date. The period drama carries good buzz and is said to be the most expensive films in Nani’s career.

Apart from SSS, work wise, Nani currently awaits Vivek Athreya’s Ante Sundaraniki shoot He is also bankrolling his sister’s directorial debut project Meet Cute.
