Every drinking and smoking scene in any movie has to have the disclaimer that ‘Smoking and Drinking are Injurious to Health’ and it was made mandatory. Now, a new disclaimer seems to be on the way.
It’s about the gender discrimination scenes in the movies. ‘Arjun Reddy‘ and ‘Kabir Singh’, a lot of dialogue is happening around gender-based scenes and how they propagate misogyny.
In this scenario, a campaign has been run by a Women’s Right Organization for running a disclaimer when such a scene is playing on the screen.
The campaign is on and maybe, with the right representation, there might be a disclaimer whenever there is a scene depicting gender violence on the screen. With the alarming rate of growth with regard to gender violence, this disclaimer concept has evolved.
