This New Year has begun on a thrilling note for TFI. Never has been in the recent past so much activity been witnessed around the New Year eve and the New Year day. We had as many as four new trailers and a first look being released over the past couple of days.
Yevadu – a new songs teaser for the film was released on the eve of New Year which ushered a new excitement for this stale project among the fans. A new theatrical trailer too is being launched to keep this newly build excitement going forward.
1 Nenokkadine – finally the theatrical trailer of the film was released which has been threatening to come out since the release of the audio. The theatrical dubbed as action trailer rightly sets up the expectations on the film for the audience and at the same time showcases the grandeur of the film and the money spend on it.
Kotha Janta – this Maruthi directed film has just a small glimpse of things to come in the film. Once again the teaser helps in setting up the mood of the film which seems to be more romance and love and all about chemistry between the lead pair of Allu Sirish and Regina.
Heart Attack – this is director Puri Jagannadh’s new film where he works for the first time with hero Nithin. Unlike the previous trailer released here the focus seems to be on the heroine and gives the audience a feel that the film could have a story to tell as well.
Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda – unlike the above films this multistarrer film starring the entire Manchu Mohanbabu clan had released a rap song as a single from the film. This is a new trend that is already being followed in the Tamil cinema to great effect.
Overall among these five newly released trailer or teasers, maximum impact had been registered by the action trailer of 1 and the song teaser of Yevadu. Both these featured the respective star’s strength and hence the impact as more pronounced as compared to the rest. Heart Attack second trailer is a distant third whereas Kotha Janta with a very restrained trailer keeping Maruthi as director in mind finds the last but one place. Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda required the song to click and it didn’t click to put it in simple terms.
