A few weeks ago, HBO fans in India were served a rude shock after Disney+ Hotstar took down all of the HBO content from their platform. This was due to the fallout in the decisive business deal.
HBO has novel content and their library includes Game Of Thrones, Succession, amongst many other good-content series and films.
So, there was suspense on when the HBO content will make its way back in India. At one point, there were reports that HBO might launch its own OTT platform in India.
Now, the suspense on HBO OTT content in India has come to an end.
It is announced that HBO content will be streaming on JioVoot, a collaborative platform that was launched and commenced operations very recently.
The thing there could be that the content library will be cluttery. There will be no exclusivity as the content of all these platforms will be combined in one and the viewers will have to make do with the same.
