Allari Naresh is coming up with another intense investigative thriller after Naandhi and Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam, titled, Ugram. M9News had an exclusive heart-to-heart chitchat with Naresh where he shared exclusive details about the film and his future projects.

Speaking about how Ugram originated, Naresh said, “The idea of Ugram originated during the shoot of Naandhi itself. It is based on true incidents. If Naandhi was about Police brutality, Ugram is about police sincerity. It is an investigative thriller that tackles the missing children’s issue.”

After scoring a hit with Naandhi, director Vijay Kanakamedala is teaming up with Allari Naresh again for Ugram for his second film. Allari Naresh said, “I and Vijay have synched really well during their first film. He knows my plus and minus very well. He changed my entire body language for this film as I was playing a no-nonsense cop.”

Allari Naresh said Ugram went over budget because of the action scenes including a rain fight and the late-night shoots. He also said the producer recovered 80% of their production costs through the sale of non-theatrical rights, as my digital market has also increased in the north. He added that Ugram Hindi dubbing rights also were sold for the highest price.
