For the last couple of days, a lot is being said about Sukumar. There is an ongoing discussion that Allu Arjun is upset with the pace of Pushpa 2 and called a shooting break and left abroad. The shooting of Pushpa 2 which is already extremely delayed, is getting that much more delayed now.
In this context, not just Sukumar, but even Koratala Siva has the need to amp up the game at the eraliest.
While Sukumar took a good three years and is still running tight timelines to execute Pushpa 2, Koratala also took a good two years for Devara.
After the earlier postponement from April to September 27, Devara is heading for release exactly 70 days from today.
But what must be noted here is that even Koratala is lethargic with the promotional campaign of Devara. There is no update on when the filming will be wrapped and the pace of the promotions are not encouraging either.
With just over two months to go, all that team Devara did was release a glimpse and a first song.
For a pan-Indian film that happens to be NTR’s immediate film after RRR, Devara must be riding on a hype wave already. But that is not the case here as Devara is still in hibernation.
It is about time that Devara also starts with continual unveiling of songs and promotional material and not to leave it too late.
