NTR’s Devara 2 Fate: All Eyes on Koratala’s Next Step

Jr NTR and Koratala Siva Devara 2 update

The much-awaited pan-India film Dragon, starring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel, is gearing up to resume shooting soon. The latest reports suggest that Prashanth Neel has decided to make Dragon in two parts. Sources say the footage already shot will now be used for the second part, while fresh schedules and a new look will be planned for the first. Fans are worried about what Neel is planning.

Meanwhile, director Koratala Siva is fully ready to begin Devara 2. All pre-production work is complete, and the team is waiting for Jr NTR to give his final approval. Once that happens, the shoot will begin immediately.

But managing the call sheets of such a big star cast is proving to be a huge challenge. The film features Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, and Srikanth — all of whom are occupied with multiple commitments. Coordinating their dates reportedly requires at least six months of advance planning.

Fans might wish otherwise, but there is no doubt that Devara 2 will be made. It was officially confirmed with a special poster on Jr NTR’s birthday. However, if there is a delay from NTR’s side due to Dragon, Koratala Siva may take up another project in the meantime.

Reports suggest that apart from directing, he is also planning to produce a few films under his own banner. One of those projects might star Naga Chaitanya, though it has not been officially confirmed yet.

But there’s a catch. If Koratala takes up a new project before Devara 2 and if, God forbid, that film does not meet expectations, then the entire dynamic for Devara 2 might change. NTR himself might back out of Devara 2 if Koratala’s form dips again.

So, if Koratala takes up a new project, that film has to succeed in a big way for Devara 2 to happen. Its success is mandatory to instill confidence in NTR and the fans regarding Devara 2.

Franchises like Baahubali, KGF, and Pushpa succeeded not just because of their scale, but also because their sequels arrived within a short gap of two to three years. Longer breaks tend to dull excitement and reduce momentum. Fans of Devara are hoping the team does not repeat that mistake and moves quickly to keep the buzz alive.

For now, everything depends on how fast Jr NTR wraps up Dragon and how soon Koratala Siva can bring Devara 2 back to life.
