Social media is breeding ground for trolls and wild stuff and it has been the case for a long time now. Many heroes, celebrities and politicians frequently face endless trolling here in this space.
However, there are certain times when the range of attack is extremely targeted and perhaps manufactured by certain groups. It appears that the case of NTR is perfectly reflecting the same.
For instance, we have the ongoing social media trend, where there are hundreds of stickers and images of NTR, which are extremely objectionable in nature. These WhatsApp stickers are travelling rather quickly, and there is a lot of discussion happening.
Many people beyond Andhra Pradesh, including the north Indian states and Tamil Nadu have started to use these morphed pics of NTR as funny stuff on social media. There are quite literally thousands of such posts which have NTR in objectionably funny look that are trending all over.
This has gone beyond the fun track already, and we have arrived at character assassination level of trolls. If people are growing increasingly accustomed to such wild troll stuff on NTR, it could very well kill his image, if it hasn’t already.
This is a pretty serious development that has been happening and perhaps requires the immediate attention of Tarak himself.
Earlier he had promised to take strong action against the individual associated with the AI generated offensive footage of the Chuttamalle song. But there has been very little progress after that. Now we have these WhatsApp stickers and GIFs featuring him that are all over the place.
Taarak recently got the court order in his favour to restrict us usage of his images, and it is about time that he starts exercising this to prevent further damage.
