Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is wreaking havoc at the Indian box office. The film is expected to collect 38-40 crores on its 10th day which is unheard of. The total collections stand at 370+ crores right now.
The film will cross 400 crores in the next few days and then the race towards 500 crores will be on. Gadar is expected to cross Baahubali 2’s record of 511 crores and become the highest-grossing film in Hindi cinema. While trade analysts say that Pathaan has already crossed Baahubali 2, there are some rumors that the collections of that film were bumped by 10-20%.
So whatever might be the case, it will be a huge achievement for Gadar 2 to cross or even go near SS Rajamouli’s epic. The reviews for the film were pretty average and many found the film to be outdated and loud.
But still, Gadar 2 has found huge patronage, especially in the single screens of B, C centers. The nostalgia factor, some mass-pleasing moments, and Pakistan bashing have made the film a monster at the box office.
However, the overseas business of Gadar 2 is pretty much average and Pathaan reigns supreme in terms of worldwide collections with more than 1000 crores gross. Now all eyes are on SRK’s next Jawan to topple Pathaan and Gadar 2.
