This week releases ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu‘ and ‘Antariksham’ were thought to become the favourites of the US audiences as the genre of the films are the type of films that are likeable by the US audiences. Both the straight movies opened to mixed talk and failed to attract the US audiences to the theaters. Friday numbers + the premiere numbers are speaking enough about the present scenario.

The scary part is the break-even figures for both the movies. Both ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ and’Antariksham’ needs to gross at least one million dollars to breach into break-even zone. Going by the present reception of the movies, the break-even number seems highly impossible. It is even doubtful if the movies will even touch half-a-million mark.
This week, we will get a clear picture of the scenario in the US. Somehow, both the movies couldn’t live up to the expectations though they enjoyed a positive pre-release buzz. It’s time they introspect but it’s a sad picture for those buyers who bought both the movies for reasonable prices because of the decent expectations on both the movies.
