If Allu Arjun Can, Why Not Pawan Kalyan? Fans Blast

Pawan Kalyan OG box office update

Pawan Kalyan’s OG had a massive opening, but the initial excitement has started to fade. The film earned around Rs. 190 crores worldwide in its first three days. While this is a strong start, trade experts say it still needs over Rs. 70 crores in share to break even.

High ticket prices are affecting collections. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, single-screen tickets were priced up to Rs. 125 and multiplex rates up to Rs. 150. Hardcore fans accepted these rates, but families and neutral viewers are hesitant. Occupancy fell sharply on the second day, and weekend growth has been weak.

In Telangana, audiences usually accept Rs. 175 for single screens and Rs. 295 for multiplexes. However, OG tickets reached Rs. 275 in single screens and Rs. 445 in multiplexes. Even dedicated Pawan Kalyan fans are questioning such high rates. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 kept first Monday pricing around Rs. 200, showing OG’s hikes may be limiting its audience.

Producers and theater owners may need to rethink pricing from Monday. Lower ticket costs could attract families and neutral viewers, boost occupancy, and maintain momentum during weekdays. Without adjustments, the film risks losing the advantage gained from its festival release hype.
