Pawan Kalyan’s OG is trying to hold strong at the box office. On Saturday, the film collected about Rs. 24 crores gross in India, according to trade expert Jatinder Singh of Pinkvilla. This took its three-day India total to Rs. 135 crores, while worldwide collections are nearing Rs. 200 crores. Overseas numbers of around Rs. 55 crores (USD 6.2 million) have been a big boost.
In contrast, the Hindi version has struggled badly. As per Sacnilk, it earned Rs. 50 lakhs on Day 1, Rs. 40 lakhs on Day 2, and Rs. 50 lakhs on Day 3. That makes about Rs. 1.4 crores over three days, and projections suggest only around Rs. 2 crores by the end of the extended weekend.
The Telugu states have provided stability, though a bigger jump was expected. If Sunday sees strong growth, OG could get close to Rs. 215 crores. With Dussehra holidays around the corner, the film may avoid a sharp fall from Monday. Current estimates suggest a lifetime gross near Rs. 300 crores, which is decent but below early expectations.
The sharp contrast between strong Telugu state collections and weak Hindi belt performance shows the gap in pan-India appeal. While OG has found steady support among Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu fan base, the cold response in Hindi regions underlines the limits of his reach beyond his home markets.
