Weekend BO: How Did OG Hold Up?

Pawan Kalyan OG box office success

Pawan Kalyan returned to theatres with his latest film OG, which released last week. The movie opened to a massive ₹140 crore worldwide, making it one of the biggest openings in recent Telugu cinema.

As expected, the collections dropped after the strong start, but OG still managed to keep momentum. The film now stands close to ₹220 crore globally. Friday and Saturday saw dips, but Sunday gave the numbers a fresh push.

In Andhra Pradesh, high ticket prices are affecting turnout. Families and mass audiences are staying away, which limited the contribution from this region. Without this hurdle, the collections could have been much higher.

In overseas markets, OG earned $4.72 million in the United States and around $4.9 million across North America. It narrowly missed crossing the $5 million mark during its opening weekend.

This success is crucial for Pawan Kalyan as OG is his first ₹200 crore grosser. It revived his box office presence, with numbers driven mainly by the Telugu version. The achievement has restored his stardom in the industry.

Mega fans, who were frustrated by past failures, are now celebrating. The strong run of OG has lifted their spirits and brought back their enthusiasm for Pawan Kalyan’s films.
